She Inhabits It
She Inhabits It (October 2006). Installation and performance in foundation-less, floating red barn. Copper & brass wire, husked walnuts, handmade paper, beeswax, rope, reclaimed lumber, violin strings, tacks, buried treasure. On hayloft: violin, sewing kit, typewriter.

The space created for this performance was about discovering and completing rituals that would personalize the site to make it safe. This involved a charcoal burial for a treasure chest, hanging and placing over a hundred husked walnuts in the aerial space directly in front of the performance site, starting webs inside, and reconstructing the hayloft floor.

Installation remnants in the Art Farm collection. Thanks to Art Farm.
