The products of a year of research as a Fulbright Fellow (2008-2009) in Korea, exploring various aspects of the Korean hand papermaking tradition: making hanji, dyeing it, spinning and weaving it, and binding it into books.
Chamber pot (2009). Spun and woven hanji, lacquer.
Lamp (2009). Spun and woven hanji, persimmon dye.
Rectangular case (2009). Spun and woven hanji, indigo dye.
Assorted vessels (2009). Spun and woven hanji objects using natural dyes or lacquer.
Jewelry (2009). Spun and woven hanji, persimmon, indigo, and clove dyes.
Eight gourds (2009). Dyed, spun, and woven hanji. Each gourd up to 2" high.
