In 2023, I was part of the first group of Collective members to create this ongoing print portfolio. See more about the process of making my print here.
FOREWORD: Black & brown hands in Book Arts/Histories & Print Making/Cultures is the collective’s inaugural print portfolio, which was commissioned by the Eberly Family Special Collections Library, Penn State University Libraries. Tia Blassingame (founder) with collective members Ben Blount and Aimee Lee contributed prints, while Tamar Evangelestia-Dougherty contributed a written reflection.
FOREWORD: Black & brown hands in Book Arts/Histories & Print Making/Cultures represents the first in the series and serves as an ongoing conversation between our membership in celebration of the historical and contemporary book arts, print artistry, and traditions in diasporic and global majority communities within the United States and around the world.
