Hanji Ducks

Korean wedding ducks, usually carved out of wood, symbolize marital fidelity and fertility. Aimee weaves her versions out of hanji and creates colors with natural dyes, to reveal stories beyond hetero marriage and imagine new cultural symbols. Thanks to Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, where these ducks truly took shape. Watch more about the process here.
