Making paper in the studio from local plants and anything else I can get my hands on.

A month at an artist residency program at the Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut. The studio is in the attic/2nd floor of the cottage formerly used by the farm’s caretaker. I was working almost exclusively with hanji (Korean handmade paper). August 2009.

Artwork made in the gorgeous top-floor studio of the Saltonstall Arts Colony’s carriage house. I worked mostly in paper, and mostly in hanji, and also recycled a ton of older work into new pieces. September 2010.

An artist residency at the Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland, Ohio. I made a hanji studio to teach Korean papermaking, taught interns, and had a fantastic place to work and play. July-August 2010.

10 working days in Deer Isle, Maine at the Haystack Mt. School of Crafts Open Studio Residency. The first half of June was rainy, cold, and windy, but ideal for hunkering down in the studio(s) in the company of other fabulous makers. A sampling of work, mostly ducks, made on site out of hanji, using jiseung techniques. May 31 – June 11, 2015.
